Cyber-Bullying: Reactions As Iwobi Finally Returns To Instagram After AFCON

Super Eagles player and Fulham midfielder, Alex Iwobi, has again returned to Meta’s photo and video-sharing app, Instagram.

This is after he recently deleted all posts on his account following attacks targeted at him after the team’s defeat to Ivory Coast in the final of the recently concluded Africa Cup of Nations.

News About Nigeria had earlier reported that many Nigerians had attacked Iwobi because he did not deliver well during the AFCON 2024 game.

They had taken to social media to comment on his posts and to bash him for causing the failure of the Super Eagles.

In reaction to the blame being placed on him, Iwobi deleted all the posts on his official Instagram page including pictures and videos.

However, the football star shared a new video on his Instagram account on Sunday.

In the video that has been sparking so many reactions on the internet, Iwobi serenaded viewers with a preview of what seems to be an unreleased rap song.

In the snippet of the video, Iwobi displayed clips of his football games and others, there, he was exuberating on his self-confidence and disregard for those who felt he wasn’t good enough.

In the lyrics of the rap song, Iwobi included his recent suffering from cyberbullying by saying, “They said I am not good enough but I prove them wrong.”

Since he shared the video, many people have reacted to it, encouraging him and celebrating him for being not just a football star but also a man of many talents.

Among those who commented is the Minister of Sports Development, Senator John Enoh, who charged him to keep his head up and not relent because of criticisms.
