President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is set to embark on an official trip to Guinea-Bissau, leaving Aso Rock, Abuja on Saturday, July 8, News About Nigeria reports.

This was confirmed in a statement by Dele Alake, the Special Adviser to the President on Special Duties, Communications, and Strategy.

The purpose of the trip is to attend the 63rd Ordinary Session of the Authority of Heads of State and Government of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).

The summit, scheduled for Sunday, July 9, will be held in Bissau, the capital of the Republic of Guinea-Bissau.

The agenda for the session includes addressing important sub-regional issues, such as a comprehensive review of the Report of the 50th Ordinary Session of the Mediation and Security Council (MSC).

One of the key topics for discussion will be the security challenges faced by member countries, among other urgent matters.

He will be accompanied by members of the Presidential Policy Advisory Council and other high-ranking government officials.

PRESIDENT TINUBU TO ATTEND ECOWAS SUMMIT IN GUINEA-BISSAU

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will be departing from Abuja to Guinea-Bissau on Saturday, July 8 to participate in the 63rd Ordinary Session of the Authority of Heads of State and Government of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), which will be held in Bissau, the capital of the Republic of Guinea-Bissau.

The summit, taking place on Sunday, July 9, will focus on addressing significant sub-regional matters, including the discussion and review of the Report of the 50th Ordinary Session of the Mediation and Security Council (MSC).

Other items on the agenda include the Report of the 90th Ordinary Session of ECOWAS Council of Ministers, which will cover the financial situation of the body and the progress made on the implementation of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).
