The Delta State Police command disclosed this in a statement signed by the state Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bright Edafe, via X on Wednesday.

The police revealed that the incident happened after the mother and her children made use of the generator inside the house during rainfall.

He noted that the family had slept off while using the generator inside the house and are suspected to have died from generator emissions, also known as carbon monoxide.

“Generator fumes is dangerous. It kills!!! A mother and son died in Asaba two days ago while her daughter is currently receiving treatment at the hospital.

He added that the daughter is currently receiving treatment at a nearby hospital and is responding to treatment.
