Femi Fani-Kayode, a former Minister of Aviation, has shared his thoughts on the recent suspension of Godwin Emefiele, who served as the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), News About Nigeria reports.
The decision to suspend Emefiele was made by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, as announced in a statement issued by Willie Bassey, the Director of Information in the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (OSGF).
Emefiele’s suspension took immediate effect and is linked to an ongoing investigation into the activities of his office and planned reforms within the financial sector.
In response to this development, Fani-Kayode expressed his satisfaction with Emefiele’s suspension in a Twitter post.
He referred to Emefiele as a representation of all things malevolent and accused him of being responsible for the destruction of Nigeria.
While Fani-Kayode acknowledged his contentment regarding the suspension, he insisted that Emefiele should face legal consequences for his alleged crimes against humanity, his involvement in conspiracies to undermine the will of the Nigerian people, and his attempts to sabotage the country’s democracy.
Fani-Kayode wrote on Twitter:
“The beast known as Godwin ‘The Greed’ Emefiele has finally been suspended. He epitomizes everything that is evil, and no individual has inflicted as much damage on Nigeria as he has. His wrongdoings are countless. I am pleased for Nigeria and the Central Bank that he has been removed from his position. However, he must now be held accountable for his acts against humanity, his treasonous deeds, his support for terrorism, his extensive and pervasive thievery and corruption, his cruel and savage behavior, his participation in conspiracies to undermine the will of the Nigerian people, and his endeavors to subvert and undermine our democracy. He will be brought to justice, and there will be no exceptions.”
Fani-Kayode strongly believes that Emefiele’s suspension is a step in the right direction, considering the negative impact he claims Emefiele has had on Nigeria.
Fani-Kayode is optimistic that Emefiele will face the full force of the law, as he holds him responsible for various crimes and attempts to disrupt the stability and progress of the country. Fani-Kayode asserts that justice will be served and that Emefiele will be held accountable for his actions.
