President Bola Tinubu To Stop Financial Leakages

President-elect Bola Ahmed Tinubu has embarked on a trip to Europe, News About Nigeria reports.

This comes after his return from a visit to London, Saudi Arabia, and Paris just two weeks ago.

The purpose of this trip is to further refine his transition plans and programs, as well as engage in discussions about policy options with his key aides.

According to a statement from the Office of the President-elect, signed by Tunde Rahman, the intention behind this trip is to allow Tinubu to carry out his tasks without unnecessary pressure and distractions.

One of the main objectives of his visit is to attract investors and strengthen relationships with important allies in order to promote investment opportunities in Nigeria.

He aims to demonstrate his administration’s commitment to creating a business-friendly environment through favorable policies and regulations.

Scheduled meetings have been arranged with various stakeholders from Europe’s business community, including those from the manufacturing, agriculture, technology, and energy sectors.

During these meetings, Tinubu hopes to persuade them of Nigeria’s preparedness for business under his leadership. The focus will be on generating employment opportunities and facilitating skill development.

Tinubu is leaving the country on the heels of the presidential election tribunal case.

The court commenced regarding the complaints lodged by opposition political parties and their candidates contesting the victory of President-elect Bola Tinubu.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) officially declared Mr. Tinubu and his party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), as the winners of the election held on February 25th.

However, several opposition candidates and their respective parties have filed petitions within the stipulated 21-day period following INEC’s announcement of the election results on March 1st.

These petitions aim to challenge the outcome of the election.

Notable petitioners include the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and their presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, as well as the Labour Party, with its candidate, Peter Obi.

Other parties involved in the petitions are the Action Alliance (AA), the Action Peoples Party (APP), and the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) whose petitions have now been dismissed.
