Former presidential aspirant, Adamu Garba, has commended Peter Obi, a former Governor of Anambra State, for his recent visit to the Central Mosque in Onitsha to celebrate Eid el Fitr with the Muslim community, News About Nigeria reports.
Obi’s gesture was met with appreciation and praise from the Muslim community in Anambra State, who recognized him as the only politician who has consistently visited the Central Mosque and maintained a cordial relationship with them.
In a tweet on Sunday, Obi shared his experience at the Central Mosque, expressing gratitude for the warm welcome he received from the Muslim community and their kind words and prayers for a new Nigeria.
He also reiterated his belief in the freedom of every Nigerian to live and thrive in any part of the country.
Surprisingly, Adamu Garba, who has been known to criticize Obi, took to Twitter to praise the former Governor for his actions.
In his tweet, Garba noted that Obi was beginning to see the failure of his alleged religious war plans and was embracing diversity. He even went as far as admitting Obi to the 100 level class of politics 101.
“On this one, Peter Obi has done the right thing. Eventually, he is beginning to see the complete failure of his alleged religious war plans by embracing our diversity.
I can confidently admit him to 100 level class of politics 101″.
