President Bola Tinubu will on Thursday depart Abuja for Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, to attend the Saudi-Africa Summit slated for November 10, 2023.

The President will emphasise Nigeria’s commitment to attracting more Foreign Direct Investment and growing commercial relationships at the Saudi-Africa Summit, which is firmly supported by his administration’s continuing domestic economic reforms.

Ajuri Ngelale, President Bola Tinubu’s special assistant on media and publicity, highlighted new measures by the Nigerian president to engage Arab nations in luring firms and extra Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) to the country a few days ago.

According to News About Nigeria, this was mentioned by Ngelale when addressing State House Correspondents on the President’s planned journey to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, to attend the Saudi-Africa and Arab African summits.

The first Saudi-Africa Summit will focus on supporting joint action, improving political coordination, addressing regional security threats, facilitating economic transformation through research and local development of new energy solutions, and strengthening cross-sector investment cooperation.

The President will be accompanied by Amb. Yusuf Tuggar, Minister of Foreign Affairs; Prof. Tahir Mamman, Minister of Education; Mr. Wale Edun, Coordinating Minister of the Economy and Minister of Finance; Dr. Betta Edu, Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation; and Sen. Abubakar Bagudu, Minister of Budget and Economic Planning.

Others include Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, the National Security Adviser (NSA), Amb. Ahmed Rufai Abubakar, the Director General of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA), and Mallam Jalal Arabi, the Chairman of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON).

Following the end of the Saudi-Africa Summit, President Tinubu will return to Abuja.
