President Bola Tinubu has submitted the names of three additional ministerial nominees to the Senate for approval, News About Nigeria gathered.

The nominees include Dr. Jamila Bio, Balarebe Abbas, and Ayodele Olawale Olawande.

In September, President Tinubu had nominated Dr. Jamila Bio to serve as the Minister of Youth, pending her confirmation by the Senate.

He also appointed Ayodele Olawande as the Minister of State for Youth.

According to the Special Adviser to the President on Media & Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, in a statement, Dr. Jamila Bio is a young medical doctor who most recently served as the President of the Progressive Young Women Forum (PYWF).

She has also held the position of Senior Special Assistant to the Kwara State Governor on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Mr. Ayodele Olawande, the nominee for Minister of State for Youth, is described as a community development expert and youth leader within the All Progressives Congress (APC). He previously served in the Office of the Special Adviser to the President on Innovation from 2019 to 2023.

President Tinubu has charged the nominees with the responsibility of consistently reflecting the dynamism, innovative zeal, and unyielding productivity synonymous with the young people of Nigeria as they fulfil their duties.

“President Tinubu charges the above-mentioned nominees to ensure that they consistently reflect the dynamism, innovative zeal, and unyielding productivity that are synonymous with the young people of Nigeria as they discharge their duties,” he added.

The Senate will now review and consider these nominations for confirmation.
