Nollywood actress. Iyabo Ojo, has vowed to continue speaking the truth no matter the hate and witchhunt she gets publicly.
Acknowledging her imperfections in an Instagram post on Independence Day, she emphasised her commitment to speaking her truth.
In the post, she expressed her determination to continue advocating for justice and a better Nigeria, regardless of any criticisms or challenges she may face.
News About Nigeria reports that she said that she prefers to face death as a fearless and courageous woman who fought for justice.
“I’m not perfect………. Never said i was, never said i would. Just being me is more than perfect for me,
“I will continue to speak my truth no matter the narrative they draw about me, no matter the hate, the witch hunt……..
“I will rather die a fearless, bold, and courageous woman who speaks & fight for justice, bcos death at the end is inevitable.
“I want a better Nigeria and a safe environment for our dear children & that duty starts from you and i, we can’t all be silence……… The Queen Mother with her black bonnet,” she wrote.
The actress and her colleague, Tonto Dikeh, have been at the forefront of the struggle for the late singer’s justice, earning them a number of critiques, particularly with the recording of their preparations for his burial.
As a professional actress, the first role she got was in a 1988 English language movie ‘Satanic’. However, she made her Yoruba language debut in the movie ‘Baba Darijiwon’ in 2002.
In 2004, Iyabo started film production with ‘Bolutife’ after which she produced ‘Bofeboke’. The movie she produced in 2015 ‘Silence’ became a blockbuster and premiered in Silverbird Cinema, Ikeja.
