Omoyele Sowore, the African Action Congress (AAC) presidential candidate, has criticized President Muhammadu Buhari for his recent comments on relocating to Niger Republic, News About Nigeria reports.

Buhari had expressed his desire to retire to his hometown of Daura in Katsina State after completing his tenure as president on May 29.

However, he also mentioned that he would move to the Niger Republic if disturbed in Daura, as it shares a border with his hometown.

Speaking during an Eid-el-Fitr homage at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, Buhari stated that he is eagerly looking forward to getting some rest and respite in Daura.

He added that he has arranged to be as far away as possible and that despite technology, it would not be easy to get to Daura.

Reacting to Buhari’s statement, Sowore stated that there would be no hiding place for the President and that he must pay for his alleged crimes against Nigerians.

He emphasized that Buhari’s atrocities would eventually catch up with him, no matter where he hides or how long it takes.

Sowore’s comments suggest that he holds Buhari responsible for various crimes committed against Nigerians during his tenure as President.

Buhari’s administration has faced criticism over issues such as insecurity, corruption, human rights abuses, and economic mismanagement.

Sowore’s statement appears to be a strong rebuke of Buhari’s legacy as President and a warning that he will be held accountable for all the wrongdoings.

It also highlights the deep political divisions and tensions that exist in Nigeria, with some citizens deeply dissatisfied with the country’s leadership and calling for change.
