A member of the House of Representatives, Honourable James Faleke has been named as the top choice for the position of Chief of Staff in the incoming administration of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
This was made available in a statement by the Arewa Youth Consultative Forum (AYCF) on Sunday in Lagos obtained by News About Nigeria.
According to the statement signed by Alhaji Yerima Shettima, the National President of the AYCF, Faleke was chosen due to his proven loyalty and reliability as an ambassador to the President-elect.
The group further emphasized the need for effective communication between the President, ministers, state governors and the rest of Nigerians, and expressed confidence that Faleke’s skills and experience would make him an ideal Chief of Staff for the new dispensation.
The AYCF also praised Faleke as a politically savvy and intellectually vibrant member of the new generation of Nigerian political class.
The group urged Tinubu to make an informed choice of his Chief of Staff, and ensure that the individual chosen is loyal, proactive, progressive, and able to build a cordial relationship between the executive and legislative arms of government.
The AYCF noted that the choice of Chief of Staff is critical to the success of any administration, and that past mistakes in this regard must not be repeated.
The group expressed its confidence that Tinubu is fully aware of the consequences of these past mistakes, and will therefore make an informed choice.
The announcement of Faleke as the preferred choice for the position of Chief of Staff has generated a lot of interest and speculation in political circles.
