Former Big Brother Naija housemate and media personality, Natasha Anita Akide, better known as Tacha, has expressed frustration over the way Nigerians in the United Kingdom treat her in public.

Tacha, who recently moved to the UK, shared her experience in a video on Instagram, stating that many Nigerians she encountered refused to acknowledge her presence.

Instead of greeting or interacting with her, they chose to record her on their phones.

She compared this with how foreigners, including a young student and an elderly man, approached her with compliments.

According to her, she received more warmth from non-Nigerians than from her fellow countrymen, News About Nigeria reports.

The reality TV star made it clear that she has no problem if people choose not to greet her.

However, she warned against filming her without her consent.

She insisted that anyone who does not want to say hello should at least respect her privacy by keeping their phones away.

She said, “You guys would not believe that I saw so many Nigerians today, which was great. But the craziest part is that they would see you and won’t say hi to you.

“I can’t even start to count how many white people complimented me today, including a high school kid and an old man. The crazy thing was that the Nigerians that saw me today, what came into their heads was to bring out their phones and record me.

“Let me sound this warning: if you see me on the road and don’t say hi to me, it’s fine. I don’t need anybody to say hi to me, and I’m not going to say hi to you either. But don’t bring out your phone to record me.”
