Annie Uwana Macaulay, the former wife of Nigerian singer 2Baba, has made her first public appearance following the controversy surrounding their separation.
The mother of two stepped out two months after the news of their broken marriage became public.
A video circulating online showed Annie spending time with actress Regina Daniels and others, marking her re-entry into the social scene.
This comes shortly after she reactivated her social media presence, News About Nigeria reports.
In January 2025, 2Baba had taken to Instagram to confirm the end of his 13-year marriage to Annie, though he later deleted the post.
Meanwhile, the situation took another turn when Edo State lawmaker Natasha Osawaru made headlines for adding 2Baba’s last name to her Instagram bio.
Osawaru recently addressed accusations that she had given the singer beads believed to have mystical powers.
The controversy deepened after 2Baba’s mother allegedly urged the lawmaker to distance herself from her son, claiming he was not in his right state of mind due to the ongoing divorce.
Responding in an interview, Osawaru dismissed the claims, explaining that the beads were traditional and carried personal significance.
According to her, they were gifts from her family and held no supernatural influence.
She further stated that 2Baba simply admired them and chose to wear them of his own accord.
She said, “Those beads were given to me on my birthday, they represent a Princess from a Royal family, You know i am from the Igbinedion Royal Family.
“I did not wear them on him, he saw them and liked them and wore them, if you observe you will see that he likes beads a lot and has been wearing several before now.”
