VeryDarkMan Seeks Court Approval To Appeal Defamation Ruling Favouring Femi Falana, Falz

Social media critic Martins Vincent Otse, known as VeryDarkMan, has reacted to a court order for his arrest over an alleged defamatory statement about gospel singer Mercy Chinwo.

The activist claimed that attempts are being made to silence him and has vowed to expose those behind them.

A magistrate court in Abuja issued a bench warrant for his arrest, citing criminal defamation.

However, VDM insisted the judiciary has no power to stop him.

He argued that he is not currently in Nigeria and has never missed a court appearance for an ongoing case.

He questioned why the same magistrate is handling multiple cases against him and issuing an arrest warrant despite his absence.

He also revealed that another court in Nyanya, Abuja, has issued an injunction barring him from discussing Mercy Chinwo and her associate, Eezee Tee.

He described it as another attempt to silence him, News About Nigeria reports.

According to him, the judiciary is being used to suppress him, and he will continue to resist these actions.

VDM alleged that certain individuals are influencing judicial decisions against him.

He claimed their goal is to arrest him upon his return to Nigeria and create a false impression that he has been defeated.

However, he insisted that even if arrested, the truth about alleged judicial manipulation will not change.

He said: “A lot of you don’t know, but there is a plot for the judiciary to shut me down, but I will resist it instead, I will expose all those people paying money for it. I will expose all of you, all those people, forum-shopping judges, and all those who have issued illegal orders.

“I will expose all of you, because tell me something. How can a man have six cases in front of one magistrate in one day, one lawyer have six cases in front of one magistrate in one day, and on that same day, the judge ordered for my arrest.”
