United States President-Elect, Donald Trump has appointed Sean Duffy, another Fox News host as his transport secretary.

Duffy was a former Wisconsin Representative and also hosts a show on Fox Business News.

Commenting on his appointment, Trump said he believes has the capability to effectively carry out his responsibilities as transport secretary.

He also noted that Duffy will prioritize “Excellence, Competence, Competitiveness, and Beauty” when rebuilding America’s highways, tunnels, bridges, and airports. He will ensure that our ports and dams serve our economy without compromising our national security.

“During his time in Congress, Sean was a respected voice and communicator in the Republican Conference, advocating for fiscal responsibility, economic growth, and rural development.”

Reacting to the appointment, Duffy said he is ready to work with Donald Trump in rebuilding America’s transportation sector.

“I’m eager to help you usher in a new golden age of transportation,” he wrote on social media.

News About Nigeria reports that Duffy is the second television host from the Fox News network to be appointed by Trump.

The president-elect had last week announced the appointment of Fox News host and veteran Pete Hegseth as his defense secretary.

The newly appointed transport secretary is a former television personality who served as a Republican House Representative for Wisconsin’s 7th congressional district from 2011 to 2019 and is now a co-host of “The Bottom Line” on Fox Business.

Following his appointment, Duffy will be in charge of the department that handles all types of transport, including airplanes, cars, trains, and buses, among others.
