Vivian Wilson, the estranged daughter of tech mogul Elon Musk, has revealed plans to leave the United States following Donald Trump’s victory at the polls, News About Nigeria reports.

The 20-year-old Vivian, originally born male and transitioning to female after allegedly conniving with her school teacher to deceive her father into consenting to the surgery, made her decision public in a post on Threads.

In the post, Vivian explained that her decision to leave the country is due to her belief that she no longer sees a future for herself in the US.

She further stated that even though Trump will only be in office for four years, the people who voted for him aren’t planning to leave the US anytime soon, nor after his tenure.

She wrote, “I don’t see my future in the United States. I’ve thought this for a while, but yesterday confirmed it for me. Even if he’s only in office for four years, even if anti-trans regulations don’t materialize, the people who voted for this aren’t going anywhere anytime soon.”

Originally born as Xavier Musk in 2004, Vivian legally changed her name and gender in April 2022, adopting her mother’s maiden name, Wilson, after applying to sever ties with her father.

On his part, Musk, who openly supported Trump, has been outspoken about his strained relationship with Vivian. The father of 12 children across three relationships claimed he was misled into consenting to his son’s transition to female.

He said, “I was essentially tricked into signing documents for Xavier. I didn’t fully understand what was happening at the time; it was during COVID, and I was told Xavier might commit suicide.”

Musk’s disdain for his son’s new gender was also part of the reasons he supported Donald Trump’s presidential bid.
