Unknown gunmen have reportedly abducted the Chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo State, Otunba Benedict Akika, popularly known as Benee, News About Nigeria reports.
It was gathered that he was kidnapped from his Idi-Ape residence along Akobo Ojurin-Olohunda road, Ibadan, at Olohundaaba in Lagelu Local Government area of the state late at night on Wednesday.
Benee is also an ally and aide of the Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde.
It was also gathered that one person was killed during the incident.
As of the time of filing this report, incidents surrounding the kidnapping are still sketchy, as relevant authorities said they are on top of the situation.
However, the Oyo State Police Command is yet to confirm the incident.
