NYSC Announces Temporary Relocation Of Orientation Camp In Bauchi

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has revealed that the orientation camp for the 2024 Batch ‘B’ Stream II corps members will be temporarily relocated to Adamu Tafawa Balewa College of Education in Kangere, Bauchi State.

This decision was made public by the NYSC state coordinator, Mrs. Rifkatu Yakubu, on Monday in Bauchi.

The relocation is necessary to enable the renovation of the Permanent Orientation Camp in Wailo, Ganjuwa Local Government Area, which has been scheduled for a complete overhaul by Governor Bala Mohammed.

The NYSC coordinator explained that the temporary relocation would allow for the renovation work to proceed without disruptions.

A total of 1,900 prospective corps members have been deployed to Bauchi State for the orientation exercise, which is scheduled to take place from August 28 to September 17.

“The relocation to the new facility becomes necessary to allow the state government to pursue the renovation work of the permanent orientation camp,” she said.

Yakubu said the scheme has deployed 1,900 prospective corps members to the state for this orientation exercise, scheduled to be held between Aug. 28 and Sept. 17.

“Prospective corps members are advised to avoid night journeys. They are enjoined to always break their journeys and continue the following day.”

The NYSC also advised prospective corps members to avoid travelling at night and to take regular breaks during their journeys.

Earlier on Monday, the NYSC announced the release of the 2024 Batch ‘B’ Stream 2 call-up letters for prospective corps members, News About Nigeria reported.

According to a series of posts on its verified X handle, the NYSC revealed that the orientation camp for this stream will begin on Wednesday, August 28, 2024, and continue until September 17, 2024.

The corps also instructed prospective members to print and sign an addendum, which is to be submitted during registration at the orientation camp.
