Crossdresser Found Dead In Abuja Identified - Police 

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has stated that it has identified the male crossdresser found dead along the Kstampe-Mabushi expressway on August 8, 2024, News About Nigeria reports. 

Spokesperson of the Command, SP Josephine Adeh, made this known in a statement on Wednesday, disclosing the deceased’s name as Ifeanyi-Chukwu Ajah Benedict.

She noted that according to preliminary investigations, the 33-year-old deceased hailed from the Afikpo North Local Government Area of Ebonyi State and resided at Dapé in the Karmo Area of Abuja.

She also stated that an investigation has commenced into the incident, with the family of the deceased adding the necessary information.

“Sequel to a case of culpable homicide and the discovery of an unidentified male corpse earlier mistaken for a female on August 8, 2024, the operatives of the FCT Command have begun a discreet investigation as ordered by the Commissioner of Police FCT, CP Benneth Igweh.

“Preliminary investigations revealed the deceased to be one Ifeanyi Chukwu-Agah Benedict, a ‘33’ year old man who hails from Afikpo North Local Government Area of Ebonyi State and resides at Dapé in Karmo Area of Abuja.

“The family of the deceased has also been contacted, as they are aiding the police with necessary information.

“Further development will be communicated in due course,” she stated.

Recall that the Commissioner of Police of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Benneth Igweh, ordered an immediate investigation into the death of the earlier unidentified crossdresser.

The crossdresser’s corpse was found along the Katampe-Mabushi expressway, Abuja in the early hours of Thursday, August 8.
