PDP Crisis: Damagum, Anyanwu, Others Suspended By Factional NWC

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Edo State is gearing up for the September 2024 governorship election with a strategic campaign plan.

This is contained in a statement on Thursday from the Deputy Director-General of Media and Publicity of the Asue/Ogie Campaign.

News About Nigeria reports that from July 25, the party will embark on a ward-to-ward campaign, aimed at connecting with grassroots supporters and showcasing the vision and programs of their candidate, Asue Ighodalo, and his running mate, Osarodion Ogie.

This initiative will enable the party to engage with its loyalists at the local level, ensuring they are well-informed about the candidate’s agenda and the party’s mission to bring prosperity to Edo State.

The campaign team, led by party executives, including Tony Aziegbemi, will join the candidate on this grassroots tour, which will serve as a platform to disseminate the party’s message of hope and progress.

According to Rev. Olu Martins, Deputy Director-General of Media and Publicity for the Asue/Ogie Campaign Management Council, the campaign council, led by Director General Matthew Iduoriyekewhen, is fully committed to ensuring the party’s success in the upcoming election.

Martins expressed confidence in the PDP’s preparedness, citing its organizational strength and the candidate’s forward-thinking approach, focus, and work ethic.

The party is urging its supporters to turn out in large numbers, as they have in the past, to welcome and mobilize their friends and family in support of the PDP’s candidacy.

This grassroots campaign is a crucial step in the party’s efforts to win the September 21st election and bring about positive change to Edo State.
