2024 UTME: Deeper Life High School Celebrates 174 Students Scoring Above 300

Deeper Life High School has announced an achievement in the 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), with no fewer than 174 students across its campuses nationwide scoring 300 and above, News About Nigeria reports.

The school shared this news via its official Facebook page.

In a post on its Facebook page, @Deeper Life High School, the institution celebrated the exceptional performance of its students, stating that despite the national average of only around 0.5% of candidates scoring 300 and above in the 2024 UTME, their students surpassed expectations, with 174 students achieving this feat.

The post further revealed that Ayeyemi Godsgift Ibukunoluwa emerged as the highest scorer, achieving an impressive total of 362 points out of the maximum 400 attainable points.

This outstanding performance follows the school’s trend of producing top scorers in the UTME, as Umeh Kamsiyochukwu emerged as the highest scorer in the 2023 UTME with a total of 360 points.

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) reported that out of the total candidates who sat for the 2024 UTME, a large number failed to score 200 out of the 400 marks.

According to Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, the registrar of JAMB, the UTME is primarily considered a ranking examination, which is why the board does not disclose the names of the highest-scoring candidates.

In a statement released by the board’s spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin, JAMB clarified that the 2024 UTME results are not yet available on its website

Candidates are instructed to check their results by sending UTMERESULT to either 55019 or 66019 using the same phone number used during registration for the UTME.
