The Kogi State Police Command has unveiled 17 Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres for the upcoming 2024 Nigeria Police Force recruitment.
News About Nigeria reports that the recruitment, scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday, is exclusively for police constables.
The announcement was made by the command’s spokesperson, SP Williams Ovye-Aya, through a statement issued in Lokoja, the capital of Kogi State.
Ovye-Aya revealed that the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) had designated the 17 centres for the recruitment process.
He said that it is important for applicants to print their invitation slips from the portal and bring them to the CBT centres, as those without the invitation slips would not be allowed entry.
The spokesperson reiterated that the recruitment process is entirely free and cautioned applicants to be vigilant against potential job scammers seeking to defraud them.
Ovye-Aya also advised applicants to adhere strictly to the rules of the examination and avoid engaging in any form of malpractice, as violators would face prosecution.
Meanwhile, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has also released information regarding the computer-based test, scheduled for March 5th and 6th, across nine centres in Abuja.
The Police Service Commission (PSC) had earlier assured Nigerians of a merit-based recruitment process in line with the Federal Character Commission’s requirement of equal representation.
Successful applicants, numbering 171,956, have begun receiving invitations for the next phase, which involves the CBT.
The Police Public Relations Officer of the FCT Police Command, Josephine Adeh, said that security measures have been put in place at all test centres to ensure the safety of every applicant.
