Delta Governor Appoints Singer Harrysong As Aide

The Governor of Delta State, Sheriff Oborevwori, has appointed Nigerian singer Harrison Tare Okiri, popularly known as Harrysong, as his Executive Assistant on Entertainment.

Harrysong’s appointment was made known by the ‘Reggae Blues’ crooner in a post he shared on his Instagram page on Thursday.

While making the announcement of his appointment as the Executive Assistant to the Delta State Governor on Entertainment, the singer shared a copy of his appointment letter.

In the letter shared by the music star, it was shown that his appointment took effect on December 22, 2023.

The ‘Beta Pikin’ crooner also tasked his fans to now address him as Honourable Superstar Harrysong, noting that his status has changed.

Harrysong also appreciated the Delta State Governor for believing in him and entrusting him with the office.

He assured the governor and the people of the state that he would maximise his office and do his job effectively.

His post shared on his official Instagram page reads, “Newly appointed E.A (Executive Assistant) Entertainment to the Executive Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Sheriff F.O Oborevwori. Thank you, my Governor.

“Now, address me as Hon. Superstar Harrysong. Thank you so much my Governor for entrusting me with this office to work. Deltans, get ready for ‘Kingmaker’ on March 30th. Sherrified and Ukodo International Festival 2024,” he added.

The Warri-born musician rose to fame after his tribute song to the late Nelson Mandela won the “Most Downloaded Callertune Award” at The Headies 2013.

News About Nigeria reported that Harrysong was also nominated in the “Best Pop/R&B Artist of the Year” category at the 2014 Nigeria Entertainment Awards after the release of his chart-topping song “Beta Pikin.”
