Tinubu Approves Landmark Health Sector Reforms

President Bola Tinubu swore in eight Federal Permanent Secretaries at the State House Council Chamber in Abuja, on Monday, following the approval of their appointments.

This comes after the announcement by the Presidential Spokesman, Ajuri Ngelale, on Friday regarding the endorsement of the nominees by the President.

News About Nigeria gathered that this is also in line with the successful selection of the nominees, earlier undertaken and concluded by the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Folashade Mejabi.

Speaking about the appointees, President Tinubu, who expressed satisfaction with the process, also assured that the appointees would exhibit and deploy their expertise and competence in the execution of the mandate of Renewed Hope, which his administration aims to propagate and achieve.

President Tinubu added that the services of the nominees would help to revitalize service delivery in all the Federal Ministries, Departments, and Agencies, which would be in the interest of the entire Nigerian people. However, he urged the appointees not to disregard the confidence he has in them but to ensure that they diligently carry out their assignments for the growth of the nation.

The appointees sworn in by the President on Monday include Ndakayo-Aishetu Gogo, Adeoye Adeleye Ayodeji, Rimi Nura Abba, and Bako Deborah Odoh. Other appointees are Omachi Raymond Omenka, Ahmed Dunoma Umar, Watti Tinuke, and Ella Nicholas Agbo.

Present at the swearing-in event were the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akume; the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Dr. Folashade Yemi-Esan, and the Chief of Staff to the President, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila.
