Contrary to earlier reports of his demise, Nigerian rapper Oladips has come out alive and well, according to a video shared on his social media page, News About Nigeria reports.

The rapper personally confirmed his living status through a recent Instagram story, where he was seen in a video with an elderly woman, believed to be his mother.

In the Instagram story, captioned in Yoruba as ‘Orisha bi Iya Kosi’ (There is no deity like a mother), Oladips casually interacted with the elderly woman outside his residence, providing visual evidence that he is indeed alive.

The confusion about Oladips’ well-being arose when his management announced his supposed passing last week via the rapper’s official Instagram page.

The management’s statement conveyed deep sadness, citing battles Oladips had kept within himself for over two years and requesting privacy for the grieving family.

“We are saddened to inform the general public that Oladipupo Olabode Oladimeji aka OLA DIPS has passed away yesterday Nov’14 Tuesday evening, at exactly 10:14 pm. We are still in shock as we speak!

“For over 2 years he has kept his battles within himself, his body is now with his family & funeral service will be announced as soon as it is concluded!

“The family asked that we respect their privacy in this trying time. May God give us all the fortitude to bear this great loss. (Amen) -Management,” the statement read.

The rapper’s obituary post, initially shared on his Instagram page, has since been deleted.

Friends, associates, and fans expressed sorrow and condolences in response to the news, with the announcement gaining widespread attention.

However, a week after the reported demise, Oladips has now shared the video on Instagram, reassuring everyone that he is alive and refuting the earlier claims of his passing.

It’s worth noting that the rapper’s ‘Superhero Adugbo’ album was released a day after the news of his alleged death.
