Alan Fisher, a renowned chef and restaurant owner in Japan, has broken the Guinness World Record previously held by Nigerian chef Hilda Effiong Bassey, known as Hilda Baci
According to the official X page, formerly Twitter) of the Guinness World Record, Alan Fisher achieved this remarkable feat by breaking two cooking-related Guinness World Record titles.
First, he claimed the title for the longest cooking marathon (individual) with an impressive time of 119 hours and 57 minutes.
This duration surpassed the previous record held by Nigerian chef Hilda Baci, making Alan Fisher the new record holder.
Following this accomplishment, Alan went on to break the record for the longest baking marathon (individual), achieving a time of 47 hours and 21 minutes.
The previous record holder for this title was Wendy Sandner from the USA with a time of 31 hours and 16 minutes.
According to the Guinness World Record, Alan undertook both record attempts back to back. This means he spent over 160 hours working tirelessly in the kitchen, with just over a day of rest in between his remarkable feats.

Hilda Baci had set her Guinness World Record by cooking for an impressive 93 hours and 11 minutes, surpassing the previous record of 87 hours and 45 minutes held by Lata Tandon
