On-air personality Mister Kayode Oladotun, also known as Do2dtun, has been barred from posting derogatory remarks about singer Oladapo Oyebanjo, popularly known as D’banj, on social media or any other platform by the Chief District Court of the Federal Capital Territory Abuja, his Honour, Emmanuel Iyanna.

D’banj applied for an injunction to stop Do2dtun from making malicious and defamatory posts about him on social media through one of his solicitors, Toheeb Lawal.

Iyanna granted an order prohibiting the defendant (Do2dtun), acting alone, through servants, privies, cohorts, representatives, or anyone deriving authority from him, from making any more malicious, intimidating, or defamatory posts directed at the complainant (D’banj) on any social media platform or news media until the substantive case is heard and decided.

The Deputy Inspector of Police, Force Intelligence Bureau was also directed by the court to look into a criminal complaint filed by D’banj against Do2dtun and report back to the court in two weeks.

News About Nigeria recalls that Do2dtun had been attacking D’banj on social media for several weeks. The attack was believed to have emanated from the dispute between DO2tun and his wife Taiwo, who is a sister to the veteran music star. The OAP married Dbanj’s sister in 2013, and the couple have two daughters.

The dispute is believed to have started after Taiwo filed for divorce from Do2dtun in November 2021 before Justice A.I. Akobi of the Federal Capital Territory High Court, alleging mental and physical abuse, coerced abortion, and domestic violence. However, Do2dtun denied such allegations.
