Finally, Ruger has spoken about the female fan who sexually assaulted him while he was performing during one of his shows in Lagos.
News About Nigeria reports that in the video that made the rounds online in March 2022, Ruger got up close and personal with the fans during a performance and everyone was vibing to his song.
But the ‘Asiwaju’ crooner got way more than he bargained for when a female fan grabbed a handful of his penis. Displeased with the act, Ruger stopped his performance and, angrily left the stage.
Recently speaking on this incident during an appearance on Naija FM, the ‘Dior’ revealed that the fan pressed his manhood.
According to him, he had to leave because the grabbing was painful. He clarified that he didn’t feel violated but the pain he experienced caused him to leave the stage.
“She didn’t touch it. She pressed it. It was painful. Nigerian girls are aggressive. Outside of the country, we serenade ourselves. But this girl grabbed it; she might be from Sango-Ota.
“It was pain that made me drop the mic. I wanted to cry. If you look at the video well, you will see the tears.
“She didn’t tender any apology. I don’t think she realised what she did, but God will forgive her,” he said.
Speaking further, he reiterated that his crew always confirms a woman’s age before putting her on stage, despite his contentious performances.
He mentioned that he has a female on his team who always verifies that the women coming on stage are over 21.
“I was just laughing because there is evidence that I do background checks. I make sure 19, 20 are not on that stage; 21 upwards. I have a female on my team. She goes down to request their ID.”
