The Lagos State Police Command has declared Primeboy wanted as it progresses with its investigation into the death of popular afrobeat singer Mohbad.

Declaring the individual wanted in a statement on Wednesday, Benjamin Hundeyin, the spokesperson of the Lagos State Police Command, detailed that Primeboy was declared wanted following his failure to honour police invitation.

“Following his failure to honour police invitation successfully sent to him since the commencement of investigation into the circumstances leading to the death of Mr Ilerioluwa Aloba aka Mohbad, the Lagos State Police Command hereby declares wanted Owodunni Ibrahim aka Primeboy,” the statement by Mr Hundeyin read.

Mr Hundeyin further detailed that the Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, CP Idowu Owohunwa, hereby offers a handsome reward of N1,000,000 (One Million Naira Only) to anyone with useful information leading to his arrest.

The development comes barely a day after popular Nigerian singer, Naira Marley, returned to Nigeria to answer questions over Mohbad’s death.

News About Nigeria recalls that Mohbad had in a petition filed with the Nigerian police in June accused Naira Marley and Sam Larry of constantly intimidating him. The singer pleaded with the police to restrain his former label boss Naira Marley and his associate Sam Larry from constantly intimidating him.

However, following the death of the singer, Nigerians continued to intensify calls for the arrest and prosecution of the Marlian label boss and his associate.

However, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu had directed the Nigerian Police force and the Department of States Services to immediately investigate and arrest those responsible for the singer’s death.
