Napoli and Super Eagles star Victor Osimhen has found the net for the second consecutive game after Napoli’s controversial TikTok video against the player, News About Nigeria reports.
Napoli secured a hard-fought 4-0 victory against Lecce on Saturday’s Serie A fixture, despite being the visiting team.
Osimhen who has been in fine form this season, showed his talent even as a substitute, causing troubles for Lecce’s defense throughout his time in the match. Napoli began their goal-scoring spree in the 16th minute when Leo Østigård opened the floor.
In the 51st minute, Victor Osimhen added to Lecce’s pains by slotting home Napoli’s second goal. Gianluca Gaetano then made matters worse for the home side with a goal in the 88th minute.
Matteo Politano nailed the fourth from the spot to seal Napoli’s dominant performance. He calmly converted a penalty at extra time, to help Napoli move up to the table.
With the victory, Napoli now sit third place in the Serie A standings with 14 points, while Lecce currently occupies the seventh position with 11 points.
Meanwhile, in the recent controversy between Victor Osimhen and Napoli, the player’s agent Roberto Calenda, who earlier threatened to sue Napoli, has now decided not to pursue the legal action anymore.
The said controversy started when Napoli posted videos on it TikTok account, mocking Osimhen for missing a penalty in a recent game against Bologna, although, both videos have now been deleted, the first one described the Nigerian international as a coconut head, and the second, using a tiny, sped-up voice, mimicked Osimhen begging for a penalty.
