President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is expected to give his final approval for the appointment of 20 new officials to various positions, including Senior Special Assistants, Special Assistants, and Personal Assistants, News About Nigeria reports.
The official announcement is pending the formal approval from President Tinubu, although some of the nominees have already begun their duties.
The list of proposed appointments includes individuals who will serve as Senior Special Assistants, Special Assistants, and Personal Assistants. Among the nominees are Dr. Adekunle Tinubu, who will serve as the Personal Physician, and Tunde Rahman, who will be the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media.
Other appointees include Damilotun Aderemi (Senior Special Assistant – Private Secretary), Ibrahim Masari (Senior Special Assistant – Political Matters), Toyin Subair (Senior Special Assistant – Domestic), Abdulaziz Abdulaziz (Senior Special Assistant – Print Media), Otega Ogara (Senior Special Assistant – Digital/New), Demola Oshodi (Senior Special Assistant – Protocol), Tope Ajayi (Senior Special Assistant – Media & Public), Yetunde Sekoni (Senior Special Assistant), Motunrayo Jinadu (Senior Special Assistant), Segun Dada (Special Assistant – Social Media), Paul Adekanye (Special Assistant – Logistics), Friday Soton (Special Assistant – Housekeeping), Mrs. Shitta-Bey Akande (Special Assistant – Catering), Nosa Asemota (Special Assistant – Visual Communication and Personal Photographer), Kamal Yusuf (Personal Assistant – Special Duties), Wale Fadairo (Personal Assistant – General Duties), Sunday Moses (Personal Assistant – Videography), and Taiwo Okonlawon (Personal Assistant – State Photographer).
In addition to these appointments, it is rumored that five former governors will be included in the president’s list of ministerial nominees, which will soon be submitted to the Senate for approval.
This list, known as the ‘cabinet of unity,’ will feature nominees from various political parties, including the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and several technocrats.
