Former Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari, has arrived back in Nigeria following his visit to London, United Kingdom, News About Nigeria reports.
Buhari’s return comes after spending a month in the UK on vacation, shortly after leaving office on May 29.
The former president touched down at the Katsina International Airport at approximately 11:00 am.
Upon his arrival, he was warmly welcomed by his aides and officials from the Katsina State Government, who had gathered to greet him.
During his stay in London, Buhari had the opportunity to meet with prominent Nigerian political figures.
He received a visit from his successor, Bola Tinubu, and the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas, at his London residence.
The meetings were reportedly focused on discussing various national and international matters of interest.
As Buhari returns to Nigeria, speculations arise regarding his plans and activities following his vacation.
Many anticipate that the former president will engage in political activities, providing guidance and support to his political party and its members.
Others speculate that he may choose to focus on personal endeavours or engage in philanthropic efforts.
Recall that Buhari had earlier expressed his contentment with relocating to his farm in Daura, Katsina State, following his handover to President Bola Tinubu.
During a valedictory session of the Federal Executive Council at the State House Council Chamber in Abuja, the former president mentioned his intention to focus on his cattle and business, as he has been unable to devote much time to them during his presidency.
He eagerly anticipated engaging in activities he has been unable to pursue since May 29th, 2015, including his beloved pastime of tending to his cattle.
