The Ministry for Hajj and Umrah in Saudi Arabia has unveiled a detailed plan for the upcoming 2024 Hajj pilgrimage, News About Nigeria reports.

The roadmap was presented by Tawfiq Al Rabiah, the Saudi Minister of Hajj and Umrah, during a ceremony attended by representatives from Hajj Missions in the Kingdom.

This event marked the conclusion of the 2023 Hajj season.

According to Mr. Al Rabiah, preparations for the 2024 Hajj will commence immediately, starting with the issuance of letters to countries that have announced their intent to participate in the pilgrimage.

These letters will confirm the number of slots allocated to each country for the 2024 Hajj.

Key highlights of the 2024 Hajj roadmap were shared by Mr. Al Rabiah.

These include holding preparatory meetings from September 16 to November 4 and organizing an International Symposium and Exhibition on January 8, 2024.

Important dates mentioned in the roadmap are as follows: Accommodation and Masha’er Contracts will be concluded by February 25, 2024; Visa Issuance will begin on March 1, 2024, and end on April 29, 2024; the first group of pilgrims for the 2024 Hajj is expected to arrive in Saudi Arabia on May 9, 2024.

Furthermore, Mr. Al Rabiah announced that the first Hajj Mission to complete all preparations will have the privilege of selecting their preferred locations within the Masha’er (Mina, Arafat, and Muzdalifah) for the 2024 Hajj.

Expressing his gratitude, the minister thanked all agencies and Hajj Missions for their valuable contributions to the success of the 2023 Hajj season.

He also reaffirmed the Kingdom’s unwavering commitment to providing the best possible services to the Guests of Allah.

In order to achieve this, the Ministry aims to gather feedback from Hajj Missions and continually improve their services.
