This heartwarming gesture came as Chef Dammy embarked on an ambitious 120-hour cook-a-thon in a bid to break the record set by Hilda Baci, who recently cooked for 100 hours.

Chef Dammy, driven by her passion for cooking, courageously took on the challenge of cooking non-stop for 120 hours.

Impressed by Chef Dammy’s commitment, Maria Ude Nwachi, an influencer, publicly announced that a client of hers had pledged the generous sum of N1 million to support Chef Dammy’s endeavor.

 

“From my account domicile with you.  Please credit Maria Ude Nwachi with a sum of 1,000,000 (one million naira) as support for Damilola’s outstanding attempt at reaching a record in the Guinness Book of Record for longest cooking hours by an individual.”

As news of the generous donation spread, social media platforms buzzed with messages of appreciation and admiration for both Chef Dammy and the kind-hearted donor.

Meanwhile, On Tuesday, June 13, Guinness World Records announced Hilda Baci as the record holder for the longest hour an individual has cooked.

The announcement officially made Lata Tondon, an Indian chef, a predecessor in the category.
