Following the news, Hilda Baci took to her official X account to congratulate Fisher.

She wrote, “Huge congratulations to Alan Fisher! 119hrs 57mins is a huge achievement, and I wish him all the best as the new world record holder!”

She further stated that she is forever grateful and happy that she held a record so prestigious and profound as the Guinness World Record, noting that it is a feat she is forever proud of.

Hilda Baci also appreciated Nigerians and all her supporters for their unwavering love and support towards her.

It was also gathered that, aside from becoming the current world record breaker in the cooking category, Alan also claimed the title for the longest baking marathon (individual), clocking in at 47 hours and 21 minutes, surpassing the previous record held by Wendy Sandner from the USA, who had a time of 31 hours and 16 minutes.

The Irish chef took on the two challenges consecutively, spending over 160 hours in the kitchen with just a little over a day of rest in between the two record-breaking attempts.
