Renowned Nigerian chef, Hilda Baci, has refuted claims that she was charging a fee of twenty-five thousand Naira for a ‘meet and greet’ session with her fans in Abuja.

The reports, which circulated through various channels, led to the cancellation of the planned event.

In a statement released on her social media page, Baci dismissed the allegations and clarified that she had not requested anyone to pay such an amount of money. News About Nigeria reports.

Disappointed by the misinformation, she decided to cancel the session altogether.

 

She said: “Hi everyone. This is to inform everyone that I’m not doing any meet and greet in Abuja. I would also never ask anyone to pay for such.”

Hilda Baci rose to fame recently after successfully completing a remarkable culinary feat of cooking for 100 consecutive hours, surpassing the previous Guinness World record held by Indian chef Lata Tondon in 2019.

Despite her achievement, Baci is still awaiting official confirmation from the Guinness World Records, although the organization has acknowledged her attempt.
