The High Court 40 in Bwari, Abuja, which falls under the jurisdiction of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), has delivered a significant judgment that affects the leadership of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).

News About Nigeria reports that the court has removed Barr. Sly Ezeokenwa Jr., who was recently elected as the National Chairman of APGA.

The ruling, issued by Justice Mohammed Madugu, declared all actions taken by Chief Victor Ikechukwu Oye, the previous National Chairman, as null and void.

This verdict comes as a consequence of a previous judgment by the Supreme Court on March 24, 2023, which struck Oye’s name off the historical records of APGA.

In light of this decision, Chief Edozie Njoku has been officially recognized by the apex court as the legitimate National Chairman of APGA, replacing Chief Oye.

The court’s ruling explicitly emphasized the illegality of all actions carried out by Oye during his tenure and invalidates them.

It further directs the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to officially acknowledge Chief Njoku as the National Chairman of APGA, as per the Supreme Court’s judgment on March 24.

In response to the judgment, there has been a palpable sense of satisfaction among key figures within APGA. Sir Chikwe Udensi, a prominent member of the party, expressed his contentment with the ruling, which effectively nullifies Oye’s activities during the recent election.

The newly appointed Chairman, Chief Edozie Njoku, along with other party leaders, also welcomed the court’s decision.

The removal of Barr. Sly Ezeokenwa Jr. as the National Chairman of APGA and the subsequent appointment of Chief Edozie Njoku signifies a significant shift in the party’s leadership.

This development has sparked renewed hope and enthusiasm among party members who believe that Chief Njoku’s appointment will bring about positive change and steer APGA in a new direction.

With the court’s ruling and the endorsement from the Supreme Court, Chief Njoku now assumes the responsibilities of leading APGA and shaping its future.

This leadership transition presents an opportunity for the party to reevaluate its strategies, strengthen its internal cohesion, and refocus its efforts on achieving its political objectives.
