Afrobeats singer, Seun Kuti, has broken his silence after being released on bail from prison.
News About Nigeria gathered that the embattled artist was granted bail and freed by the Lagos State police command in the early hours of yesterday.
Confirming his release, the lawyer Adeyinka Olumide-Fusika told journalists,
“Yes, Ṣeun Kuti was released minutes ago. His bail conditions had been perfected since last Thursday, but the police asked for an extension to remand him in their custody until today (Tuesday), to conclude an investigation.”
Taking to his social media page shortly after his release, Seun Kuti expressed his heartfelt gratitude to his defense attorney, as well as his family and loved ones who stood by him and played a crucial role in securing his release.
In his message, the musician acknowledged the support and encouragement he received during his time in custody. He expressed his deep appreciation for the unwavering support.
