Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who has been elected as the next President of Nigeria, will be returning to the country from Paris, France on Sunday, May 21, 2023.

News About Nigeria reports that this arrival will take place eight days before his official inauguration as the 16th President of Nigeria.

According to a reliable source close to Tinubu, the purpose of his nine-day visit to Europe was to seek investors and carefully finalize plans for his upcoming inauguration without any unnecessary distractions or pressures.

During his stay, Tinubu has been working alongside his key aides to ensure a smooth and well-prepared transition of power.

Tinubu’s arrival is expected at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja on Sunday, where he will receive a warm welcome.

This trip follows Tinubu’s recent month-long vacation in France, as he wasted no time in embarking on this latest visit just two weeks after his return.

In a statement released by Tinubu’s media office, it was emphasized that the purpose of this trip was to fine-tune the transition plans and programs in a meticulous manner.

The President-elect wanted to ensure a seamless handover of power, free from unnecessary pressures and distractions.

The statement also highlighted that Tinubu will be meeting with investors and key allies to promote investment opportunities in Nigeria and showcase his administration’s commitment to creating a business-friendly environment through favorable policies and regulations.

Tinubu’s itinerary includes meetings with representatives from various sectors of Europe’s business community, such as manufacturing, agriculture, technology, and energy.

The objective is to convince them of Nigeria’s preparedness to engage in business under Tinubu’s leadership, fostering mutually beneficial partnerships that prioritize job creation and skills development.

Reviving Nigeria’s economy is a central focus of Tinubu’s Renewed Hope agenda, and these meetings serve as part of his efforts to reestablish Nigeria’s significance in the global economic landscape and provide empowering opportunities for the country’s sizable youth population.
