In a tragic incident that has left the Kano community in shock, a teenage boy has allegedly stabbed his mother to death over a disagreement.
The incident occurred on Wednesday evening in the Karshen Kwalta area of Rimin Kebe quarters in Ungoggo Local Government Area. News About Nigeria reports.
According to an eyewitness who spoke on condition of anonymity, he heard screaming from the deceased’s residence and upon rushing in, found the woman who had been stabbed multiple times with a knife, screaming for help. The suspect, identified as Iro Kwarangwal, had fled the scene shortly after allegedly committing the heinous crime.
The victim was rushed to the hospital in a tricycle with blood all over her body but was pronounced dead upon arrival. The witness further revealed that the deceased had since been buried in accordance with Islamic rites.
Confirming the incident, the Public Relations Officer of the Kano Police Command, Abdullahi Haruna, promised to provide details of the case. He urged members of the public to remain calm and allow the police to carry out their investigations.
