President Tinubu Sympathises With Niger Govt, Families Of Victims Of Boat Mishap

The Coalition of Northern Youths Consultative Movement (CNYCM) has called on President Bola Tinubu to reassess his cabinet and inject dynamic, result-driven ministers who can propel meaningful change.

News About Nigeria reports that at a State of the Nation press conference, CNYCM’s General Secretary, Bilal Galadima, and Kaduna State Coordinator, Yusuf Audu, emphasised the need for a cabinet reshuffle to tackle the nation’s pressing challenges.

The coalition urged President Tinubu to appoint ministers who possess exceptional leadership qualities, are visionary, and are committed to driving the nation’s growth and development.

The coalition commended three ministers—Olubunmi Tunji Ojo, Nyesom Wike, and David Umahi—describing them as “Cabinet Champions” with impressive contributions to the nation’s development.

They said these individuals have demonstrated remarkable leadership and should be considered for key cabinet positions.

CNYCM reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the government’s efforts to address the nation’s challenges but stressed the need for a more dynamic and performance-oriented approach.

The group appealed for constructive dialogue regarding the planned protests against bad governance, which have created an atmosphere of tension and uncertainty nationwide.

They noted that the escalating hardship, characterised by skyrocketing costs of essential commodities, has pushed many ordinary Nigerians to the brink.

CNYCM expressed concern over the deteriorating insecurity in the country, particularly in the northern region, which has led to a rise in criminal activities among youth, including kidnapping and armed robbery.

The group urged the government to take immediate action to address these pressing issues, ensure citizens’ safety and well-being, and create opportunities for the youth.

While acknowledging the government’s progress in various areas, CNYCM warned that the current hardship and insecurity threaten to undermine its efforts.

They called on the government to take immediate action to address these challenges and create a conducive environment for the youth to thrive.
