EFCC Dismisses Report Of Hacked X Account

The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has urged the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to make the walk against corruption, a mass movement, News About Nigeria reports.

The NLC President, Joe Ajaero, made this call while speaking in Abuja at the EFCC Walk against Corruption held on Thursday across various states in the country.

He noted that the NLC has thrown its full support behind the EFCC in the ongoing battle against corruption in Nigeria.

He stated that the anti-corruption campaign is important, adding that there is an urgent need to fight corruption.

The NLC president also highlighted the importance of uniting Nigerians in this cause, suggesting that the EFCC should connect Nigerians to enable a mass movement against corruption.

“There’s an urgent need for us to fight corruption, and the NLC will throw its weight behind the agency in all fights against corruption.

“Nigerians are united in the fight against corruption clearly I think what your agency needs to do is to connect them so that it will be a mass movement,” he stated.

He further expressed concern over the impact of corruption on Nigeria’s development and international reputation, stating that the sad aspect of it is that people take what they don’t need from generation to generation and they dump it.

He lamented that Nigeria is now a laughing stock to some countries, maintaining that such cities are so beautiful while Nigeria is suffering.

He, therefore, urged the Crimes Commission to remain vigilant against misinformation, and ensure that genuine Nigerians continue to support their efforts.
