Jigawa Police Arrests 7 Suspects In Connection With Various Offences

Vendor Arrested For Murder In Jigawa 

The Police Command in Jigawa said it has raided a criminal hideout and arrested seven suspects in Kazaure and Dutse local government areas.

News About Nigeria reports that this was disclosed by the police spokesman of the command, DSP Lawan Shiisu Adam, in a statement.

According to the statement, “a team of policemen attached to Dutse and Kazaure Divisional Police Headquarters raided criminal hideouts at Zai Hills, Gindin Dinya, and Bandawa, all in Dutse and Kazaure LGAs.”

He said during the raid, seven suspects were apprehended in connection with various offences.

They included 27-year-old Haruna Alto’m of Sabkarawa village, Yankwashi LGA, an alleged notorious drug dealer terrorising Kazaure emirate.

He said the suspect was arrested in possession of a large quantity of dried leaves suspected to be Indian hemp and seven (7) cartons containing over two hundred (200) pieces of rubber solution.

Other exhibits recovered are fifty-six (56) tablets of exol/diazepam and nine (9) capsules of tramadol.

Shiisu said all the suspects arrested would be arraigned before the court to face the full force of the law after a discreet investigation.

In April, the police in Jigawa State arrested a wanted criminal, 25-year-old Abubakar Alhassan, over alleged criminal conspiracy, armed robbery, and culpable homicide in Gabasawa Local Government Area of Kano State.

Spokesman of the command, DSP. Lawan Shiisu Adam, said, “On 18/04/24 at about 2030hrs, acting on Credible Intelligence, Policemen attached to Ringim Division swiftly raided a criminal hideout at Tsuru Fulani settlement, Ringim LGA.”

He said during the raid, one Abubakar Alhassan, aka Abu Dogo, of Ringim LGA was arrested and when searched, four pieces of 7.62mm live ammunition were recovered from him.
