The Lagos State Police Command has arrested two men, identified as, Tewase Peter and Ternugwa Paul for abducting two teenagers, News About Nigeria reports.

The victims, according to the police, is a 16-year-old girl named Precious and a 15-year-old boy simply identified as Agera.

The teenagers were rescued from their abductees in the Itaoluwa area of Ikorodu in Lagos State following the intervention of a good samaritan who helped in speaking to one of the victim’s mothers.

Benjamin Hundeyin, the Lagos State Police spokesperson, who disclosed this in a post on his verified X handle, said, “Preliminary investigations revealed that the victims were abducted from their home in Benue State while their mother was away in the market. After the mother’s numerous attempts to contact the older victim via his mobile phone, a good Samaritan answered the phone while the suspects were not at home with the victims.

Upon receiving the information at the Lagos State Police Command, detectives of the State Criminal Investigation Department busted Peter’s place at Itaoluwo, Ikorodu, and rescued the victims successfully.”

Hundeyin further revealed that an investigation is ongoing in order to apprehend all those involved in the crime, adding that the two apprehended suspects would be arraigned at the conclusion of the investigations.
