The Governor of Ondo State, Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has canvassed for the support of the people ahead of the All Progressive Congress (APC) governorship primaries, scheduled to hold on Saturday, News About Nigeria reports.
The governor, who went on a campaign tour in the Ilaje local government area of the state, assured the people that he will not disappoint them or let them down if he is elected into office.
While speaking at the headquarters of the LGA at Igbokoda, he noted that he will pursue the implementation of the Ondo Sea Port and complement the efforts of the Federal Government in restoring power supply to the southern senatorial district of the State.
He assured the people that his administration will help in procuring meters and restoring power to the state.
He further expressed his happiness in the warm reception given to him, stating that he will always remain grateful for the constant support from the elders and youths alike.
He, however, urged the people to translate the welcome into coming out en masse on Saturday with their Membership Cards and PVCs to vote for him.
“Your impressive turnout today fills me with confidence, knowing that come Saturday, your presence will only multiply across the wards.
“Our collective resolve for continuity is resolute, and to achieve this, it is imperative that we all show up on Saturday equipped with both our membership and voter cards. Together, we shall excel,” he said.
Aiyedatiwa assured religious leaders in the area that the sea port, which is a legacy project of the former governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, will be sustained for the economic growth of the state.
