APC Extends Sale Of Nomination Forms For Ondo Guber Primary Election

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has extended the sale of nomination forms, expression of interest forms, and delegate forms for the 2024 gubernatorial primary election in Ondo State.

This means that aspirants contesting the election under the APC banner have until Friday, April 5, 2024, to obtain their forms.

Initially, according to an earlier-published revised timetable and schedule of activities, the sale of forms was scheduled to begin on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, and was set to end on Wednesday, April 3, 2024.

The latest development was made known in a statement signed by Felix Morka, Esq., the National Publicity Secretary of the APC.

Morka said the extension of the sale of nomination forms provides interested aspirants with more time to obtain the necessary documentation and participate in the party’s primary election.

About 16 aspirants, comprising 14 male and two female contenders, have thrown their hats into the ring in the quest for the party’s ticket ahead of the November 16 governorship election.

The male aspirants who have gotten the forms include Governor Lucky Ayiedatiwa, Olusoji Ehinlanwo, Jimi Odimayo, Jimoh Ibrahim, and APC National Vice Chairman (South West) Isaacs Kekemeke.

The other male aspirants are Wale Akinterinwa, Olugbenga Edema, Olusola Oke (SAN), Olamide Ohunyeye, Morayo Lebi, Oladiran Iyantan, Prof. Francis Faduyile, Mayowa Akinfolarin, and Ifeoluwa Oyedele.

They were each charged N50 million.

However, to ensure inclusivity, the party extended a reduced rate of N10 million for the expression of interest form to female contenders.

Those who benefitted from the slashed rate are Funmilayo Adekojo and Funke Omogoroye, as well as persons living with disabilities (PWD).

News About Nigeria earlier reported that the party has amassed a sum of approximately N720 million from the sale of expression of interest and nomination forms.
