How Ogun Banker Faked His Abduction Over 1.7m Debt

The wife of a microfinance banker at Kemta Oloko, Abeokuta, Temitope Openaike, has revealed that her husband, Mr. Olumide Openaike, who went missing since Wednesday, January 17, has been found in Mokwa, Niger State, News About Nigeria reports.

Mrs. Temitope, who also works at a microfinance bank in Onikolobo, Abeokuta, disclosed this to newsmen on Thursday, noting that she is filled with joy and happiness that he was found safe and healthy without any harm done to him.

“I am happy to tell you that my husband has been found in a place called Mokwa in Niger State. He called me on Tuesday afternoon,” she said.

She noted that he was abducted, adding that he used the phone of one of the residents to contact her, stating that his abductors had taken his phone.

She further stated that a report was made at the Mokwa police station, and she was able to speak with the police on duty.

She told newsmen that transportation fare was sent to him on Wednesday, noting that he arrived in Ibadan yesterday, where his family members reside, and will be returning to Abeokuta today.

Mrs. Temitope reported on Thursday last week that her husband had gone missing, stating that he was last seen on the 17th of January before he left for work.

The spokesperson for the Ogun State Police Command, SP Omolola Odutola, who confirmed the incident, assured her that the police formations across the state were already aware and that the command would keep spreading the message to give adequate publicity with the ultimate aim of finding him and reuniting him with his family.
