Gospel Singer Dies While Performing In Brazil

A gospel singer, identified as Pedro Henrique, died while performing on stage in the northeastern city of Feira de Santana, Brazil, on Wednesday, News About Nigeria reports.

His death was confirmed in a report by Daily Mail on Thursday.

According to the report, the 30-year-old gospel singer was performing his song ‘Vai Ser Tão Lindo’ at a religious event that was being streamed online when he suddenly collapsed in front of his band inside the concert venue, causing fear and pandemonium.

In a video of the incident that went viral, Henrique was seen engaging the crowd as he stood on the edge of the stage before he lost his balance and collapsed on his back.

Attendees immediately rushed over to help the singer while the crowd looked on in shock. Henrique was taken to a nearby clinic, where he was confirmed dead.

The late singer’s record label, Todah Music, disclosed that the singer had suffered a massive heart attack.

While mourning the late singer, Todah Music, in a post on Instagram on Thursday, consoled the public, stating that not every situation has explanations and God’s will must prevail.

He stated that the legacy of the late singer will continue to live on through his wife and daughter and not die, adding that the singer will have a prominent place in the great Heavenly Choir.

The singer had earlier revealed on his Instagram page that his new project will debut via his YouTube channel on Thursday night.

The 30-year-old singer is survived by his wife, Suilan Barreto, and a daughter, Zoe.
