In a tearful interview with Brazilian TV show Fofocalizando, Manchester United star, Antony, has maintained his position, denying all allegations of abuse made against him by several women, including his ex-girlfriend Gabriela Cavallin, Rayssa de Freitas, and Ingrid Lana.

News About Nigeria gathered that the 23-year-old believes in the truth prevailing. With tears in his eyes, he said, “It’s something that doesn’t cross my mind. I know the truth and it will show up. I know there are a lot of people butchering me, but the truth comes out.”

“I don’t support this ever. It’s totally wrong, 100 per cent wrong. I have a mother, a sister, and I would never want this to happen to them,” he continued.

The Brazilian winger addressed specific incidents mentioned in the allegations, including claims that club doctors were sent to attend to Gabriela Cavallin after she insisted she was badly injured.

Antony explained, “I wanted to go and tell her that I had obligations and had to go, so she took plates and cups and threw them on the ground, and I grabbed her in order to calm her down. I didn’t hurt her.”

Additionally, Cavallin alleged that one of her breast implants needed changing due to abuse from Antony. Antony refuted this claim, stating, “Do I punch a woman in the chest? Never. The situation with her silicone was diagnosed in 2020 before I met her. She already had to change it.”

Following these allegations, Antony was dropped from the Brazilian national team this week after initially being called up, and investigations have been initiated both in Manchester and Sao Paulo.

Meanwhile, Manchester United have not taken any action against the player at this time, but the situation has raised concerns about the club’s reputation, particularly following a previous high-profile incident involving Mason Greenwood, who was internally suspended for 18 months.
