Tinubu Condemns Kaduna Village Bombing, Says It’s Disturbing

President Bola Tinubu, on Tuesday, condemned the accidental bombing of locals in the Tudun Biri Community of Kaduna state by the Nigerian Army.

In a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, titled ‘President Tinubu condoles with Kaduna State government, families of victims over bombing mishap,’ the President described the accidental bombing of locals as “very unfortunate, disturbing, and painful.”

Tinubu also sympathised with the families of the victims, together with the people and the government of Kaduna State.

President Tinubu called for calm among the residents of the state, noting that, a thorough investigation would be done on the attack.

He further directed that a thorough and full-fledged investigation be carried out and also that swift and comprehensive medical attention be given to surviving victims.

Tinubu went on to pray for the repose of the souls of the deceased and that God console their families and give them the strength to bear the loss.

News About Nigeria earlier reported that many were killed in an air strike allegedly carried out by the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) at Tudun Biri village in Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

The incident was reported to have happened around 9 pm on Sunday, when villagers gathered for Maulud celebration.

It was also gathered that about 93 bodies have been buried as of Monday evening.

Speaking on the attack, the Nigerian Air Force, NAF, denied the allegation that the Force accidentally killed the villagers during an air raid in Kaduna.

Speaking on the alleged bombing of villagers that gathered for Maulud celebration, the NAF Director of Public Relations and Information, Air Commodore Edward Gabkwet, said the service had not conducted any operation in the state and its environs in the last 24 hours.
